Motorola XTL 5000

Motorola XTL™ Series

Genesis and Motorola have collaborated to create a P25 RF-modem: the XTL Series. Since our GenWatch3 is fully P25 compliant, it interfaces beautifully with the XTL Series. Very soon, we will be listing all necessary hardware components.

Features:

  • No RIMII needed
  • Connects to the GenWatch3 PC via USB
  • GenWatch3 actually programs the XTL 5000
  • Minimal CPS configuration needed
  • Will operate ONLY on 9600 P25 systems (not 3600)
  • Receive only (no radio commands can be sent due to P25 security limitations)
  • Operates only with GenWatch3 (L3575A, L3559A, L3560A)
EF Johnson RS5300

EF Johnson Technologies

The EF Johnson RS5300 radio operates on SmartNet, SmartZone and P25 in the 700MHz and 800MHz bands.

We have also looked, in detail, at the CAI to determine what information is available from the CAI that is not specific to any manufacturer. Click here to see the complete list. The quick answer is that 90% of everything that you are used to seeing on the 3600 Control Channel is available on the CAI with no special licensing of any manufacturer specific information.
