We pride ourselves on our tenacious customer support! That means we keep trying until... If you have a question or problem when using any of our products, you may want to look first at the Troubleshooting chapter in our manuals. If you still can't find the answer, feel free to call, fax or e-mail customer support. Before calling, please do the following:
- See if you can duplicate the problem again.
- Try re-booting your computer (sometimes they get terribly confused!).
- For EzBill/GTMS, read the MEMORY.TXT and/or README.TXT files that are in your EZBILL or GTMS directory.
- For GenSZAI/NetVista2 and Trio, make sure all network connections are alive and well.
- For GenWatch, GEnSAC and other control channel based products, please make sure that you are truly receiving a good control channel.
Be prepared to explain your problem. Also be prepared to tell us the steps that led up to the problem. Do a "Print Screen" of the error message or problem and fax or email it to us first. Try to duplicate it, then write down what happened step by step. Be at your computer and have the manual available.
We provide Priority Client Care to our clients that sign up for our Maintenance and Total Support (MTS). It is an annual fee that is charged based on a percentage of the cost of the software that you have purchased. That fee is below the industry average for MTS cost. MTS gives you "top of the stack" support and provides free updates to our products (except for shipping costs). Ask us. It IS worth the cost! For our clients that have signed up for MTS, you may login here.

General Hardware Requirements
Every software program has some minimum requirements that it needs so it can operate properly. Our software products are no different. The requirements for each of our software products is listed on each product information page.
Our software operates on two general classifications of machines- Workstations and Servers. For workstations, in general, if you are purchasing a new, off the shelf computer, very likely it will satisfy our requirements. Most of the PCs that are offered for office use in package form are very powerful and work well for the GenWatch, NetVista2 type products. GenSZAI, Genesis Trio and GenPAMICS require server class machines.
Each product area will give you more specific hardware requirements. Also, please check with Genesis for any last minute updates to the exact requirements that we might have since new features are constantly being added to our software that might require a slight change in our hardware requirements.
Computer Recommendations
We recommend The following hardware manufacturers:

Knowledge Requirements
Every software program assumes you have a minimum knowledge level before you use it. It may be a simple program and only require that you can read! All of our software and manuals will make a few assumptions about your knowledge level. If you do not meet these assumptions, don't feel bad or insulted. There is a lot to understand. It is well worth saying that you can operate the user interfaces of our software with very little knowledge about a Trunking System and little knowledge about a computer. However, more knowledge of the ins and outs of your trunk system and of a computer will help you get the most for your dollar. There are some of our products that are greatly enhanced by having things like SQL knowledge. Books like SQL for Dummies are great for learning the basics. In fact, some times we supply this very book because it is a good reference tool. We really do hope that you will get the most out of your software purchase and that means that you will need to participate in the product. Learn your craft. Learn your tools.

Assumptions
We Assume that...
- You own, manage, or operate one or more Motorola manufactured Trunking systems.
- You know how to turn your computer on and work around in the Windows operating system. EzBill and EzSave are DOS based programs that are solid and feature rich. They will operate in a 'virtual DOS machine' window inside Microsoft Windows 95, 98 and 2000. Windows ME and Windows XP do NOT support DOS correctly and thus EzBill, EzSave, GTMS will not function on these operating systems.
- You can get around well in the Windows environment.
- You can copy files from one place to another. You can create a folder, change between folders and move files between folders. If you have problems here, consult your Windows manual or ask a guru in your company. It is most helpful. We do consult in this area for a fee.
You have a working knowledge of your trunk system and its capabilities. If this is foreign to you, read the Motorola manuals that came with system. You should have a working knowledge of SmartZone, Omnilink and other Motorola infrastructures if they apply to you. We consult in this area for a fee.
- For our GenSZAI and Trio customers, we assume that you have a working knowledge of networks and connections to networks. We assume that you have a passing knowledge of Microsoft SQL (we suggest "SQL for Dummies").
