Genesis proudly welcomes Paul Miller as our new Project Manager. Paul's career in Supply Chain and Project Management began nearly 20 years ago. He has continually earned increasing levels of leadership positions through his career. His most recent position was with the Residential Solutions sector of Ingersoll Rand in Tyler, Texas, where he served as Commodity Manager and led teams in Productivity & VAVE Project Management. During this time, his teams delivered the highest performance over other sectors of Ingersoll Rand. Prior to Ingersoll Rand, Paul led numerous projects related to cost savings with companies like Electrolux, Dometic, and DayRunner. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Henderson State University. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.
Genesis, along with our Asia-Pacific partners at Kalibre, is showcasing our performance management software to hundreds of public safety professionals at the Gold Coast of Australia for APCO Australasia. Our software solutions play a critical role in managing, monitoring and reporting on the ever-evolving public safety communications networks.
Genesis President Phil Burks addresses the complex nature of billing for two-way radio communications networks in the March 2012 issue of Mission Critical Magazine. Depending on who you ask, the concept of "billing" for a radio system can take on multiple meanings. Here, Mr. Burks offers some clarification.
Today was a big day for the Public Safety Communications industry. The President signed a key piece of legislation which reallocates the 700 MHz D-Block spectrum to public safety and provides $7 billion in federal funding to help pay for the buildout of a nationwide LTE network for first responders (UrgentComm article). We were fortunate to have the opportunity to discuss the future of two-way voice and data with industry guru Andrew Seybold (pictured at the right, with Phil Burks and Jim Nipp of Genesis) at the IWCE Convention and Expo in Las Vegas.

Tyler, Texas is a beautiful city. We've adopted a stretch of roadway to do our small part in keeping it that way. While we were in the neighborhood, we visited our construction site which will soon be Genesis' new home!
The Alzheimer's Alliance of Smith County is a shining light in our hometown, providing education, support and hope for people affected by Alzheimer's. Genesis was amongst many local businesses who participated in an awareness event called "A Month of Memories: Blue Jean Fridays". Throughout the month of November, Genesis staffers (35 pictured out of 41 total) could be spotted around town sporting Alzheimer's Alliance t-shirts. Genesis was recognized as the company with the largest percentage of employees in participation. Since we already wear jeans on Fridays, it wasn't much of a stretch for us. As always, we are glad to do our small part.
