RF-modem + RIM II
GW3 can handle input from up to 10 RIMIIs at one time on a single copy. Multiple GW3s can then feed into a single, large database. So, really there is no physical limit on the number of systems that can be monitored simultaneously. The GW3-RIMII module can accept RS232 input (directly from the RIMII) or, TCP/IP input! This allows an RF-modem/RIMII to be remote and anywhere!
NOTE: If you are using GW3 as an alternative for SIMSII, Site Lens or SIP, you will need one GW3-RIMII for each system that you are monitoring and one for each system that you are 'talking to' with RCM activities.
ATIA
GW3's RIMII input can be replaced with (or even have in addition to) an ATIA input so it can receive data from a Zone Controller. We use the power of our GenSZAI software to receive the ATIA, buffer it, and send it securely to GW3, wherever it resides on your network. All of GW3s features and modules are then available for your SmartZone system, just as they are for a SmartNet system.
Note: We require that ATIA be installed and operating on your SmartZone, Omnilink or Dimetra system. If you are not sure if you have the ATIA port feature, please click here.
Note: ATIA is not available for rebanding alternative orders. |

GenWatch3 Features |
 |
GenWatch3® is feature rich! In fact, it is the most powerful software on the market that can listen to a 3600 baud Motorola Control Channel, decode it, store it, report it, watch it, alarm it and a few more things. Each feature and module can be purchased separately or in some cases, as part of a package of features.
Innovative Design
Modern, Creative Interfaces like – GenWatch3 GroupView and Launchpad. We have taken an approach that engineering and technical software should not be boring! We use ultra modern and safe programming techniques to display highly technical information in a way that makes sense. This is the classic PTT viewing screen, with a great twist. More details are below in this Features list. Click here to see much more about the affordable GroupView Package!
Powerful Security
From the GW3 Security Configuration interface, you can create "roles" such as supervisor, day shift, technician, etc. In the roles, you assign what modules and features within those modules that the role can access. You then add users (the actual people that will use GW3) and assign a role to them. You can also create data filters where only certain Talkgroups can be viewed by certain people. Also, from the Security Configuration, with proper permission, you can monitor user activity, module activity, and more. |
Totally Networkable
We have noticed that in many SmartNet and SmartZone locations, owners have various people that are responsible for various tasks. GW3 can act as a "server" to multiple clients. This is a built in function of GW3. Each client piece can have different GW3 modules that it uses, in any combination. Data being fed to each module from the GW3 server can be filtered as well (example- certain Talkgroups going to one client and other Talkgroups going to another). There is a LOT of power in this feature.
Completely Modular
GW3 was designed and built in a way that it is simple to customize to your needs. You do not have to pay for unwanted or unnecessary features. And, you can add features later, as we create them or as your budget allows. It is about as future proof as you can get!

Module Bundle (these are

Launchpad
Launchpad acts not only as a modern, unified place from which you can find and start all modules, it also gives you help and knowledge about what is going on inside each module. It is a nerve center of all GW3 operations. Included is a Database Manager and interface to MSDE which is distributed with GW3. Also with the core piece is a Module Manager that allows the customers to dynamically add / remove modules as well as launch their interfaces.
Alias Manager, Systems
This is a great place to mention that GW3 can take input from MULTIPLE RF Modem/RIMIIs. This means that from one GW3, you can watch and record all Control Channel activity. You can also set an Alias for each system.
Alias Manager, IDs and Talkgroups
As you can see from this screen, you can enter quite a bit of information about each Talkgroup and unit and there is more to come. This is very similar to the ADM
(Alias Database Manager) in your console. In fact, we have a tool that will import your ADM data to make your life even that much easier!
SysLog
If you have ever been around UNIX, you'll know what this is and the power behind it. GW3 will keep a log of any problems, potential problems, and lots more. With SysLog, you can have this log generated any place you would like on your network, or any place on another network, or multiple places at the same time! For VERY little extra, you can also use other third party software like Kiwi Syslog Daemon to send selected information to HP OpenView, Motorola's FullVision, Pager, Cell Phone SMS...and more! Cool!
All Activity Window
It is a filterable and colorable view of all Control Channel data packets that come through. You can elect to see every minute piece of information or only the pieces that you want to watch. You can color each type of data packet to help you identify diagnostics, affiliations or anything you wish. You can pause the display and then tell it to resume. All in all, this one window has the power to tell you everything you need to know about your system, the instant that it happens.
The Core bundle comes with one 'instance' of
this module. You can easily license more
copies of the All Activity Module that can
be viewed from other computers. |
