Tyler, Texas is a beautiful city. We've adopted a stretch of roadway to do our small part in keeping it that way. While we were in the neighborhood, we visited our construction site which will soon be Genesis' new home!

Spelling is the Bee's Knees |
 |
August 11, 2011
In what has beecome a popular annual community tradition (so many bee puns, so litle space to write), Genesis was honored to participate in the 2011 Tyler Literacy Council Corporate Spelling Bee. This year, we paid tribute to our wonderful clients and were known as the GeWoCs (Genesis World Customers). Our team effort produced a respectable third place title...again (see last year). The fundraising event helped advance the good work done by the LCOT. |

Apparently, we are not alone in our belief that we have some of the brightest and the best working right here under our humble roof. This was confirmed today as one of the brilliant minds at our GenLabs was recently honored. Jeffrey Parks was chosen Outstanding Junior at UT Tyler's Department of Computer Science. You're not a kid anymore, Jeff...You're the man. Now get back to work. |
Trash is Our Bag |

January 8, 2011
The Genesis Group decided to get together and go for a walk along our adopted stretch of roadway in our hometown of Tyler, Texas. By strange coincidence, we all wore matching—not to mention rather stylish—orange vests and were carrying trash bags. We made the best of it and pitched in to make our city more pretty. |
GenPOP - Genesis Potion of Power! |
 |
December 21, 2010
With the wear and tear of software development (it's a labor of love), folks around her were workin' up a powerful thirst. Since we're not the sort to lay down, dry up and blow away, we decided to do something about it. From that, the Chieftain of CHIFF, Phil Burks birthed the elixir of life we affectionately refer to as "GenPOP: Genesis Potion of Power!" Available in 7 delicious, thirst-crushing flavors.

How Do You Spell Genius? G-e-n-e-s-i-s |
 |
August 11, 2010
The Tyler Literacy Council Corporate Spelling Bee combined fun, food, a touch of zaniness, and a whole lot of linguistic aptitude in a great community-wide event. Congratulations to Team Genesis (Jan Roberts, Greg Hendry and Robert Boggs) who came in third in a formidable field of 16 teams. The event helped raise awareness of literacy efforts in the East Texas area. |
