Who We Are
The Genesis Group is a telecommunications solutions company with strong family values. We create software tools to make Motorola Trunking systems* work better. Over the years we have owned and operated Motorola brand Trunking systems. We have managed twenty-three LTR based Trunking systems for a nationwide company. We have developed and are currently marketing several software programs to help the Trunking operator keep his sanity and make money. We consult and teach Trunking operators (both public and private systems). We help potential operators develop the technical design of their systems. In short, we help the trunk system owner maximize his investment. Also, we consult in other areas of communications. We help design custom software solutions for the communications industry. We also lecture and write articles on the Trunking industry.

In The Beginning...
The Genesis Group opened shop in December 1988. Before then, we had built a very successful tower rental and SMR communications company called Jecca Towers, Inc. which was purchased by Motorola in 1988. Jecca Towers began in 1980 and grew under the leadership of Phil Burks to 9 communication rental towers and 7 Motorola Trunking systems. All of Jecca's communication properties were designed, installed and operated for 8 years under the guidance of Phil Burks. Phil began helping other Motorola trunk system owners with training and software during the Jecca days. In 1983, Phil created software to help with his billing and management needs. Other Trunking operators began requesting copies of the software for their companies. The result was two commercially available, copyrighted products called EzBill and EzSave.
From 1989 to now, we have kept pace with the trunking industry to add products that help the owners and operators of these very expensive systems to operate them to the top most efficiency. For a complete story about Genesis' History, click here.
The Genesis Philosophy
The way any company does business is a true reflection of the leadership of that company. Here at Genesis, we're not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but we strive for perfection. At the top of our philosophy is to treat others as we want to be treated. That means peers, customers, vendors, everyone. At all times, we attempt to under promise and over perform. Each of us strives to have a servant attitude. Money is simply a reward for a job well done and not the driving force behind our existence. The customer may not always be right, but it is not our job to rub that in. Constantly listen to our customers--really listen--and then apply what they have said to our software.

What We've Been Doing
When The Genesis Group opened, it was founded on the knowledge that private and public trunk system owners, worldwide, needed tools to help them get the most value from their investment. It's been our privilege to help with over 2000 Motorola and LTR Trunking systems, worldwide. Our services include answering simple questions before a system is purchased to implementation of full, daily operations training. Within this range, we have analyzed trunk system orders, installed towers and repeaters, surveyed sites, set up billing and management systems, invented software to help manage these systems, created custom interfaces between Motorola software and other applications, and much more.
We have lectured and given motivational style encouragement to the Trunking industry. We currently have created and now market over 10 software programs for the Trunking industry. We also are the exclusive global marketing and support firm for CTech Logging Systems (airtime accumulator products for the Trunking operator). We have developed strong partnerships with companies like Motorola. We have signed up re-sellers in various parts of the world that we trust to bring the Genesis quality to your office. In short, Trunking system management is our business.
Our Core Languages
Like many programming houses, we all started in DOS to program. Over the years we have migrated with the leading edge of the industry. Our focus has always been in the Intel processor world (DOS & Windows flavors) but we have dabbled in a few Linux and SCO UNIX modules over the years. Our current core competency is in the following languages:
