Genesis Trio is a Management and Billing package created specifically for the Trunking industry. It won't do paging, it won't do cellular. Trio is modular in design and can be purchased for use with many different types of systems. This section is dedicated to Motorola's SmartZone & SmartNet systems. Even if you do not want to do billing, Trio is for you.

One of our most significant and largest users is in South Carolina at- Motorola Palmetto 800, the statewide SmartZone system for public safety in the state. Another client manages and bills over 100 SmartNet systems.

Trio keeps track of all information related to your SmartZone and SmartNet systems. Trio uses a graphical interface to make user interaction with as simple as possible. Trio stores all zone, site, talkgroup, and ID information in a way that makes it easy to understand. Trio also has a cool feature called Site Cluster Billing for SmartZone owners that want to do billing. This feature gives the ability to setup a home area that a radio stays in most of the time. If a radio 'roams' to a site outside of its 'home' area, then billing for airtime can reflect that. He can have a low rate per minute in his home area and a higher rate outside of that area. Pretty brainy!

Trio can operate on its own or connect to another product from Genesis called GenSZAI. GenSZAI is an airtime accumulator for the SmartZone system. When Trio and GenSZAI work together on a system, GenSZAI accumulates all of the airtime usage records. Trio can then connect to GenSZAI automatically and pull those billing records back into Trio to be billed. 'Crunching', as we call it, occurs automatically as well. This allows for near 'real-time' billing for your SmartZone system. The benefit is that you can know, almost up to the minute about every unit's usage!
