GenSZAI Overview

In a SmartZone, Dimetra, ASTRO® or OmniLink system, there are a lot of moving parts that make sure all units can talk over a vast territory. Motorola cleverly designed the ATIA (Air Traffic Interface Application) port which provides data on system activity at any given point in time. Understanding the ATIA requires a team of rocket scientists. Fortunately, we just happen to be that team!

Note: ATIA must be installed and operating on your SmartZone, OmniLink or Dimetra system. If unsure about the ATIA port feature, click here. ATIA is not available for rebanding alternative orders.

What GenSZAI Does with ATIA

GenSZAI "listens" to the ATIA information and collects it into various tables within a database. The information is stored there until pre-defined limits that are reached (days, months, years or disk space). GenWatch3 NetVista is used to view the live data and to give easy access to the historical, saved data.

GenSZAI Features at a Glance

  • Accumulates system usage data
  • Accumulates information to be used in reporting and system management decisions
  • History is limited only by available disk space
  • Dual NIC cards isolate the ATIA from the customer LAN
  • Supports 4.1 - 7.x (Flex ATIA)

Multi-Modular Capabilities

GenSZAI has three modules that work together:

  1. Reader
  2. Processor
  3. Data Storage

GenSZAI may be configured for all sizes of systems. For smaller systems with budget considerations, all three GenSZAI modules can reside on one machine. However, there are configuration issues to consider when utilizing a single machine. Contact Genesis for details.

For large scale network management, GenSZAI Enterprise is an effective solution for voluminous management reports and airtime billing collection. Read more
