The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA)
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority operates a Motorola Simulcast SmartZone Trunking system that connects Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport together. Both of these airports are located near Washington DC. area. Genesis supplied our GenSZAI Suite to monitor the ATIA data stream and build a database of all call and site activity. From this database, reports and graphs can be done to track system usage and radio usage. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is also using EzBill, from Genesis, to help keep track of IDs, radios and groups that are on the system. Additionally, GenWatchxl is used to provide additional system administration information.

Trunking Telecomunicaciones S.A., Santefe de Bogota, Colombia
An Anditel S.A. company
Trunking Telecomunicaciones S.A., by way of their parent company Anditel S.A., has been in the business of providing Trunking communications (Motorola SmartNet), satellite communications and other sophisticated levels of communication service for many years. One of their largest clients is the Colombia electric company. Their needs have increased over the years and that led Anditel to install Motorola's SmartZone Trunking system. They have begun operation in 5 of the major cities in Colombia and in the end, they will have 40+ sites that will cover 95% of the the Colombian population. Bogota is a sprawling city that is bordered on two sides by mountains. Genesis is proud to have been selected to supply the airtime accumulation and billing software for Motorola and in turn Trunking Telecomunicaciones S.A.

The Trunking Telecomunicaciones / Anditel master site is located in a highly protected site atop one of the mountains that surrounds Bogota. On this mountain, there are many forms of satellite, broadcast and wireless communications.

Trunking Celumovil S.A., Bogota, Colombia
Covering the entire country of Colombia with a single Trunking system is an enormous task, no matter how you look at it. Trunking S.A. with headquarters in Bogota is one of three Colombian companies to do that. They elected to install a Motorola SmartZone system to do that. Initially, they have begun operation in 3 of the major cities and in the end, they will have 40+ sites that will cover 95% of the the Colombian population. Genesis is proud to have been selected to supply the airtime accumulation and billing software for Motorola and in turn Trunking S.A.

Mobilphone de Panamá
Mobilphone de Panamá has been a long time user of EzBill, EzSave and GTMS. In 1996 they upgraded to Motorola's SmartZone Advanced Trunking System. Joe Fidanque and his Mobilphone de Panamá company have trunking operations with SmartZone& LTR. They also operate a large paging operation in Panama. In early 1997, we installed GenSZAI version1.0. It has worked flawlessly for all of 1997 to accumulate and report all telephone call detail (like the SLNG report from an MBX). In November, 1997 we upgraded upgraded GenSZAI to our current release version. Greg Hendry, Genesis' Chief Senior Programmer went along for the installation to see that all installation and training went smoothly. Care was taken to observe that the GenSZAI Channel Monitor Screen duplicated the action seen in the ZoneWatch screen. Airtime was accumulated, reported and billing was tested.

While GenSZAI was being installed and tested, we also updated the existing GTMS software to the latest version and trained their dedicated team (Lilia, Elias and Armando). With all of the enhancements and with additional ones that will be delivered to Mobilephone de Panama soon, they have a very powerful SmartZone trunking system with the most powerful billing and management system on the market.

Electronica Balboa S.A. (EBSA)
Believe it or not, in Panama City, Panama, there are two, yes two public use Motorola SmartZone SMR systems! Electronica Balboa has been operating a Motorola AMSS (Automatic Mutiple Site Selection) system for many years. Art Sherry and his son Arthur Sherry (pictured with Phil Burks - Genesis president) also operate other stand along SMR systems, both Motorola and LTR. EBSA has also been one of Genesis' earliest international clients.

For years there was no Cellular service in Panama and EBSA's AMSS system (which by the way connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific Ocean) was not only a large dispatch system but also the main wireless telephone system. Now, EBSA in in process of installing a Motorola SmartZone system in Panama. While Greg Hendry and company president, Phil Burks were in Panama City, they did installation and setup of GenSZAI and also the latest GTMS software for billing and management. Training on GTMS included the ability to automatically update stand alone Motorola Smartnet controllers and the ability to use GTMS to program radios via GRIPIT (Genesis Radio ID Programming Interface Tool). Prospero, Renaldo, Argelis (pictured), Quiros, Arthur and Karen attended the training.

It was emphasized to us that ZoneWatch is an optional component of SmartZone. EBSA had not purchased the ZoneWatch option in an effort to be cost conservative. They were elated to find that the GenSZAI Suite contains a powerful NetVista module that allows all SmartZone activity to be viewed from any point on their compant LAN. Genesis is changing its marketing and pricing of GenSZAI as of January 1, 1998.
