GenWatch3 can handle input from up to 10 RIMII units at one time on a single copy. Multiple GenWatch3 units can then feed into a single, large database. There is no physical limit on the number of systems that can be monitored simultaneously. The GW3-RIMII module can accept RS232 inputs (directly from the RIMII) or TCP/IP input. This allows an RF-modem/RIMII to be located anywhere!
For customers who use GenWatch3 as an alternative for SIMSII, SITE LENS or SIP, a GW3-RIMII will be needed for each system that is being monitored. The GW3-RIMII module will also be needed for each system that is communicating with RCM activities.
RF-Modem Advancement
As P25 (9600) systems professionals, we have expertise in ordering and programming Motorola XTL2500 and EFJ 53SL radios as a replacement for the now discontinued MCS 2000 for 3600 systems. GenWatch3 integrates seamlessly with both radios. Both allow migration from 3600 to P25.
AMNP stands for Accounting and Management Network Protocol. It is the interface for the P25 Network management protocol standard supported by Genesis. Contact Genesis for further information.
The GenWatch RIMII input can be replaced with (or added to) an ATIA input to receive data from a Zone Controller. The GenGET service receives the ATIA, buffers it, and sends it securely to GenWatch3, wherever it resides on a network. All of the features and modules in GenWatch3 are available for SMARTZONE and SMARTNET systems.
Note: ATIA must be installed and operating on the SMARTZONE, OmniLink or Dimetra system. If unsure about the ATIA port feature, click here. ATIA is not available for rebanding alternative orders.
GenWatch3 runs on a standard desktop PC. Genesis can serve as a turnkey operation, providing pre-configured computers. Or, you have the option to provide your own computer.
Input Channel Hardware
Certain hardware is required to listen to the nearest Control Channel that is part of the system.
The RF-modem (typically an MCS2000 or ASTRO® Spectra) and RIMII (TRN-7962 or TDN-8224B) units are usually found in existing installations where there is also SITE LENS, SystemWatch, SIMS, etc.
Suggested PC Hardware
GenWatch3® is the most powerful software on the market that can listen to a 3600 or 9600 baud Motorola Control Channel, decode it, store it, report it, watch it, alarm it and more. Each feature and module can be purchased separately, or in some cases, as part of a package of features.
Genesis uses leading edge programming techniques to display highly technical information in a way that makes sense. Because of its unique modular design, GenWatch3 can be easily tailored to individual needs. There's no need to pay for unwanted or unnecessary features. If necessary, features can be added later as we create them, or as system requirements and/or budgets allow.
Our core modules represent the foundation upon which the GenWatch3 architecture is based.
As the nerve center for GenWatch3, LaunchPad acts as a central location from which all modules are launched. It serves to enable easy access to the numerous available modules. It also acts as the information center for each module. Included in LaunchPad is a Database Manager and interface to MS SQL Express which is distributed with GenWatch3. Also included is a Module Manager that allows modules to be dynamically added or removed.
As a built-in function, GenWatch3 can act as a host to multiple client machines. Each client can run different GenWatch3 modules, in any combination. Data can also be filtered from the host to clients.
Genesis and Motorola have assembled a series of bundles to make choosing the best management suite easier than ever. Whatever the system, GenWatch3 Commander is designed to both replace outdated trunking system management tools as well as pave the way for powerful monitoring technology on down the road in pre-packaged bundles. Features can easily be added as management needs grow.
GenWatch3 Commander & Bundle Series is available through Motorola representatives and sales engineers.
