| Alerts Module |
A new system tray application (shown to the left of the clock on Windows taskbar to display notifications and GW3 input connection statuses. This feature allows us to eliminate duplicate notification screens and allows client connections to see the state of the input connections. |
| Installer |
Added NetVista install option. This option installs the GenSZAI reports and offers a shortcut to SkyView in LaunchPad. This consolidated what was previously an additional installer. |
| Installer |
Added a database only installation. This feature is for GenWatch3 installs with a dedicated SQL server machine. |
| Installer |
Added a host-only option. This feature allows for the GenWatch3 installation to have a dedicated SQL server machine. |
| Installer |
The installer allows assignment of a user account to run the GenWatch3 service. This allows GenWatch3 more flexibility in complex networks. |
| Database |
Removed the massive RES_Time table from the GenWatch3 solution. This table was once necessary to run some of the GenWatch3 reports. Efficient SQL Views are now used to accomplish this. If this is a bit too technical, just take comfort in knowing that the GenWatch3 solution is much smaller in this release. |
| Event Log |
GenWatch3 now writes event log information to the GW3 event log. This allows you to see GenWatch3 activity without digging through other Windows application's activity. |
GW3 Group
GW3 Affiliation |
Reduced network traffic. In previous versions, the packet details were sent with each activity shown on the GUI. The packet details are now sent to the GUIs as requested by the user. |
| CloneWatch |
Removed time-based purging (previously 30-day limit) on suspect activity. This activity is now purged as needed based on quantity of suspect history records. |
| CloneWatch |
Alerts now shows a notification to all Administrator role users when a new suspect is added. The notification is accompanied by an audible alarm. |
| GW3 Solution |
Decreased the wait time between GUI and module communication. This results in a more fluid user experience in GUI to module user-based actions, such as creating new resource in GW_Alias, deleting suspects in GW_CloneWatch, etc. |
| Channel Screen |
An Originating Site indicator has been added to the Channel box. The Channel now shows "@" if the Channel's site is the originating site of a call. This feature is designed for multi-site input. |
| Channel Screen |
A color legend has been added to the bottom right of the GW_Channel screen. |
| Channel Screen |
Customizations to the Channel Screen window (size, location, etc) are now saved to a user profile when the window is closed. Settings are restored when the window is reloaded. |
| Channel Screen Alerts |
GW_Channel now issues an audible alarm and changes the site's color when a site is idle for a user-defined amount of time. |
| Channel Screen Alerts |
GW_Channel now issues an audible alarm when busies occur. |
| Channel Screen Alerts |
GW_Channel now issues an audible alarm when emergencies occur. |
| Channel Screen Graphics |
Images are now included for Omni (System), Zone and Site backgrounds. They are located in the GenWatch3 application directory under the Images folder...cleverly enough. |
| Notifications |
We added a notification — shown through GW_Alerts — when the evaluation period expires. This was only reported in the event log in previous versions. |
| Alias |
By popular demand, resources (radio IDs, talkgroups, etc.) now have an "Add" option. This option is in addition to the dynamic discovery and import options for adding resources. |
| GenSPOut |
GenSPOut now keeps detailed logs of its actions. |
| Reports |
The selections grids now allow sorting. Users simply click on a column header to sort the grid. |
| Reports |
Added " Group Usage By Radio" report to emulate a report offered by the CTech logger. |
| GW3 Service |
GenWatch3 service now creates log files containing detailed module performance information. This is a great diagnostic tool. |
