For System Owners
The Agencies that you have operating on your system are usually smarter than the average bear. This means that they want to know what happening with their radios. You have all of the data that they need...and then some. On your Zone Controller, you have a port called the ATIA port (Air Traffic Interface Application), or if you do not have it, you can purchase it from Motorola. The ATIA tells you everything that is happening (traffic and usage information) on your system. GenSMART can take all of those millions of bits of information and filter them to provide a customized data stream for each agency that is operating on your system.
Advantages
- Off load report creation to each Agency.
- Charge a small amount to each Agency for the custom data feed.
- Lease or sell the GenSMART HART (Historical Agency Reporting Tool) to the Agencies on your system.
- Private Brand the HART modules with your logo, etc.
GenSMART is the answer!

Agencies will receive a suite of reports that have been crafted by Genesis. We call them the "Canned Reports". This will be a subset of the great reports that Genesis has created for you, the system owner. The reports will center on:
- Talkgroup Airtime Usage hour by hour, day by day, month by month.
- Talkgroup busies.
- Individual ID busies.
- Individual Airtime Usage hour by hour, day by day, month by month for all call types.

Centralized Manager
for Agency Filters
|
As the system owner, you receive a program called GenSMART CMAF (Centralized Manager for Agency Filters). CMAF is where all of the ATIA filtering magic happens. Genesis will only install this in a secured environment of the system owner's choosing (usually the Zone Room).
- Setup of Agency connections
- Set IP address/connectivity information.
- Set IDs & Talkgroups to send to the Agency. IDs must be entered as well as Talkgroups because there are many events that are only ID based.
- Set events to send (dispatch, affil, busy, rss, etc.). At first release, this is very high level to keep things simple yet powerful.
- Set which GenSZAI Readers to listen to. This is equivalent to the ATIA streams from various Zones that should be included.
- Set buffer size (larger buffer size could garner additional revenue). If a connection from the CMAF to an Agency is broken, this determines how long the data will be buffered.
- Set database retry delay (accommodate for small link outages).
- Set network retry delay (accommodate for small link outages).
- Set a Connection Expiration date. This is helpful to the system owner for managing annual connection contracts.
- Setup of GenSZAI READER connections.
- Set IP address/connectivity information.
- Save all settings.
If you follow the capabilities here, you can see just how powerful this is! And, there are more features that we re working on to further enhance the CMAF. We have priced CMAF in a way that if you already own and operate GenSZAI (required), GenSMART CMAF is very inexpensive as a base cost. Each Agency connection that you create is licensed in a way that you have the ability to incur minimal up front investment and then grow GenSMART as you add agencies.
