Genesis-Enhanced Standalone CEB

GEnSAC3 enables the operation of a Gold, Gold Elite or MCC5500 console without a T1.

The Problems

  • The need to connect a Centracom Gold / Gold Elite CEB or a MCC5500 CES
  • Embassy Switch has run out of resources and a T1 is too costly
  • No PTT-ID or emergency notification when displaying with a control station
  • The need to put a console in a Mobile Command Center

The Solution

Through a collaborative effort between Motorola field engineers and Genesis, customers can now display IDs and Emergency calls on Centracom Gold, Gold Elite or MCC5500 Operator Positions, without connection to the Embassy Switch.

How It Works

GEnSAC comes loaded on a PC with 8, 16 or 32 COM ports (one for each talkgroup). Connect a RIMII or EF Johnson Technologies RS53SL radio into the GEnSAC PC. Then, connect one cable for each talkgroup from the GEnSAC PC COM ports to each ACIM card in the CEB (Central Electronics Bank). Note: ACIM cards may need to be added to the CEB. In a very simple setup on the GEnSAC PC, map the desired talkgroups to the correct ACIM. GEnSAC decodes incoming Control Channel data. Individual ID and Emergency Call information for each talkgroup that is setup in GEnSAC is sent out to the appropriate ACIM. The Motorola Console then displays the ID that is talking and whether the call is normal or an emergency.

To get the best, total profile of your existing dispatch hardware and a complete list of any needed components, please contact Genesis or your authorized Motorola sales engineer for assistance.

* Note: Existing installations with ASTRO® control stations connected to an existing ACIM will need to reconfigure installations so the cables from the GEnSAC3 COM ports can be plugged into the ACIM P6 port for each talkgroup. Control stations will use the AUX I/O for keying.
