GADI Architecture
GADI uses the latest layered programming technologies. It is robust, allowing for fault tolerance in the solution.
Information about every affiliation, every call, every emergency and more is fed to GADI from the zone controller ATIA port. GADI makes instantaneous decisions based on that information and immediately passes alarms and general information to the SideCore clients that need the information.

Use Case: Riverside County, California
While working on the Public Safety Enterprise Communications (PSEC) Project for Riverside County my staff and I encountered some concerns with Motorola's MCC7500 Dispatch Consoles. The primary concern was the variety of input options. The options offered were:
- Mouse — We had 3 at each console and precious seconds were lost while trying to find the correct mouse.
- Touch Screen — Due to the size of our consoles, there was no one place where a touch screen could be placed where every dispatcher would have easy access.
- Arbitrator — An item that had been used in our communication centers in the past that created many problems.
What was needed was a specialized radio keyboard that allowed dispatchers "one button" access to frequently used functions as well as functions that were deemed critical in nature. This keyboard sits just above the CAD keyboard and allows the dispatcher the ability to utilize it without taking their eyes off their CAD screen. Some of the features and functions on the RiverBoard are:
- Transmit — both for the select talk group and instant transmit on unselected
- Patching — not only allows quick setup and use of a patch (or multi-select) but allows for setting up pre-defined patches that can be activated with the touch of a button
- Alert Tones — one button for each of the 3 types of alert tones used by this agency
- Call Alert — one button access for Call Alert with a number pad to type in the radio ID number
- Emergency Processing — one button access to silence, acknowledge, and knock down an emergency
For cost reasons, we needed something that was customizable, easy to replace, durable, and allowed for expansion. Apparently this was quite the request as Motorola and approximately 8 other vendors were not able to meet our requirements. Genesis not only met all our requirements, they exceeded them.
