GADI : Genesis-Aided Dispatch Interface

A time and labor-saving hardware and software integration solution for MCC 7500 Dispatch Console users

GADI takes the features inherent in the Motorola MCC 7500 Dispatch Console and enhances them in an integrated hardware and software solution. GADI improves dispatcher efficiency for MCC 7500 users already connected to a SMARTZONE®, Dimetra or ASTRO® system. It is also a logical value consideration for those in design phases of a new system or system upgrades.

Detailed information about every affiliation, call, emergency and much more from the zone controller ATIA is combined with the information from the MCC 7500. The result is power. Power to do things with the MCC 7500 that you always wanted it to do. GADI gives you the chance to customize how the MCC 7500 interacts with your dispatchers.

SideCore

GADI Components

SideCore

SideCore is client/server software that resides on each workstation to improve the MCC 7500 features and allow the interface of other components. It allows easy access to defining Patch Groups, Unattended Emergencies, Private Calls, and lookup of the last known Affiliation.

  • Enhances the ability of the MCC 7500 to report emergency information to the dispatchers
  • Simplifies patch group creation
  • Simplifies private conversation setup

Unattended Emergencies

Unattended Emergencies are when an emergency is pressed by a unit on a TG that is not being monitored by any dispatchers. It happens. SideCore has rules that allows the alarm to go to selected or all consoles. The TG resource is automatically added to the console for immediate action.

RiverBoard

RiverBoard

The main keyboard that has preprogrammed
shortcuts for highly used MCC 7500 functions.
The GADI RiverBoard is customizable to suit individual
requirements and to allow further expansion. Keys may be customized to for unique functions. Using pre-programmed shortcuts, it allows instant, one button access to common functions, such as emergencies, private call, patch, alerts and more.

  • Transmit on any six talkgroups
  • Five patch groups
  • Private conversation logs
  • Emergency alarms
  • Specialty tones
  • Programmable function keys
  • Can be easily customized
SideCar

SideCar

A keyboard and trackball attachment that sits to either side of the RiverBoard. Combined with the RiverBoard, the MCC 7500 102 keyboard and mouse are no longer needed. SideCar allows left or right hand access to:

  • Trackball pointing device (dispatchers can use their own mouse if desired)
  • Number pad for selecting Radio IDs — search results narrow with more typing (predictive search)
  • Arrow keys

RiverBoard + SideCar

  • Can be angled from 5 to 30° tilt
  • Both connect to the MCC 7500 via USB 2.0
  • RiverBoard key placement is flexible
  • MTBF = 50 million operations
  • Removable keycaps for cleaning, changing, etc.

GADI Custom Features

Filtered Activity Log Module

The module mimics the activity log module used by an Elite console, with the added enhancement of filtered activity by talkgroup.

The SideCore software displays the last 8 callers on a talkgroup.  The most recent call is placed at the top of the list.

Subscriber units in any given talkgroup may be specifically included or excluded.

Extended Multi-Select Module

The module gives workstations the added functionality of selecting up to four simultaneous entries.  From there, the user can define up to five multi-select groups.  The module can dynamically create groups on demand.

Visual Radio Status Indicator Module

The SideCore software can be configured to change background colors when the status of a radio changes.  Each status can be assigned a specific color.
